Emma Knight, Head of Corporate and Major Donor Giving at Martlets, shares what’s been happening.
“Despite a challenging few months for me personally, we’ve had some amazingly positive developments on the Snailspace campaign. Perhaps most excitingly we have just announced that Brandwatch, a world leader in social intelligence, but very much a local company, has signed up as Headline Sponsor.
This is such a significant development for the campaign as having Brandwatch on board is a real endorsement of the impact of the event on the city as a whole and a vote of confidence for the Martlets. It is a unique opportunity for both organisations and we’re very excited to see what new developments this partnership may bring. We’re sure that it will also have a benefit for all the other Snailspace sponsors as Brandwatch bring global expertise in social media to the group.
We have also signed up a number of other sponsors, including The Salt Room and The Coal Shed who have committed as Charity Partners. Again, this is a significant relationship for us as their involvement goes beyond the Snailspace campaign, supporting Martlets ongoing activities. We’ve already worked on some great projects together and this is the ideal opportunity to deepen our involvement, ensuring that we help them achieve their goals around CSR and community engagement, as well as having some fun. And, what better way to start than with giant snails!
Our range of sponsors really does now cover all sectors in the city and one of the things we know our Snowdog sponsors enjoyed was being part of a unique ‘networking’ club that brings unexpected connections and benefits to everyone involved. We are almost at capacity for sponsors and the deadline for signing up is looming, so for anyone thinking about signing up I would say, ‘Don’t be that business director who wakes up in September seeing giant snails all over the city and thinks I wish I had one of those!'”
