Hospice re-sites to award-winning care home as multi-million-pound upgrade of Hove site begins

The Board of Trustees at Martlets has today announced the appointment of Claire Irving as the new CEO.  Claire will be joining Martlets in March 2022, taking over from Imelda Glackin, who was CEO at Martlets for seven years, having been with the charity for 19 years.

Imelda Glackin will be stepping down as CEO at Martlets in 2022. Imelda has worked at Martlets for 19 years, with the last 7 years as CEO.

As well as managing our own stocks of personal protective equipment (PPE), for the past four weeks Martlets has been acting as an essential ‘hub’ for PPE distribution to 16 hospices across the South East of England.

Misty chose the hospice as her home over 15 years ago. Join us as we say a goodbye to Misty our beloved Hospice cat.

The Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Dee Simson has officially opened the newly refurbished Martlets Blatchington Road shop.

The Brighton-based musician and business-owner Norman Cook, AKA Fatboy Slim, has been announced as an official Ambassador for Martlets.
