Singing and the Joy it Brings

Aneesa, Martlets Hospice ‘Good Vibrations’ Choir leader, has shared with us why she loves singing and leading the group.

“Singing and leading the choir brings a special kind of joy and freedom. It offers the opportunity to stop and let go of whatever is on your mind, enjoy yourself and have fun with everyone around you.

I’ve led Good Vibrations for 2 years and feel very close to the hospice and the work they do. For me the fact we get everyone involved from staff, volunteers, patients, carers – everyone!- is really special. It’s one thing we all share together and find joy in.

Recently the Choir performed at Goldstone Primary School and involved the children in the performance. It was really great to see the choir get involved in the local community and how much the parents enjoyed watching the show and the joy it gave everyone involved.

The choir are always welcome to new members and rehearse twice a week at Martlets Hospice. If you like to join or get some more information please get in touch via the Day Services team email: or phone: 01273 273400.”
