We are inviting energetic fundraisers of all ages (12+) and fitness levels to take part in it’s popular glow-in-the-dark three hour sponsored dance marathon – now in its seventh successful year.
The Zumbathon® will take place on 27th March 2020 at the King Alfred Ballroom in Hove. Doors open at 6.30pm, the dancing starts at 7.30pm and glowing on until 10.30pm!
Fundraisers are encouraged to wear their brightest outfits and there will be UV face painting and UV accessories available on the night with a unique laser and light show to help keep everyone motivated to move.
The dancing is led by inspirational Zumba® teacher Sherryn Watkin and her super- fit team of instructors. Over the years Sherryn has danced her way to raising £100,000 for the charity.
“I have had direct experience of the care and support that hospices give people with terminal illness and it made me determined to give something back and do what I could to help. Dancing is what I do – and thousands of wonderful people have supported me to party my way to this incredible total!”
Clem Hunnisett, Martlets Fundraising Team said,
“This is such a fun night out with an incredible atmosphere, no-one needs to be a Zumba® expert or keep going non-stop! We are so grateful to everyone that takes part to help raise money to provide life changing hospice care for local people with terminal illness and their loved ones. Get your group together and come along for a party with a purpose.”
Martlets is hoping to fill the venue to its capacity of 200 dancers – entry is £18 and participants are encouraged to raise additional sponsorship in support of their efforts.
