Paula has been a volunteer for Martlets for more than ten years. Her son Gordon was cared for on our inpatient unit. She tells us about the care he received and why she has chosen to leave a gift in her Will to Martlets.

Supporter Sharmila is taking on not one but three Ultra Challenges for Martlets this year to fundraise in support of our new hospice building. Here she tells us about her upcoming Easter 50 Ultra Challenge, the Thames Path 100k, and a marathon and trek through the Sahara Desert.

Marc’s Story’ was awarded Gold at this year’s ‘Smiley Charity Film Awards at a ceremony in Leicester Square last week. The film showcases the work of Martlets in supporting people living through terminal illness.

Flora, 35, has been attending our bereavement social evenings. Martlets looked after her mum Anne who spent her last days on our inpatient unit in February 2022.

Donating furniture to us is a great way to give back to your community while also decluttering your home. Not only does it help those in need, but it also saves useful items from going into landfill.
