In this short film Jane tells us what mattered most to her brother Richard and her family. She tells us about the care Richard received at Martlets and how Richard felt 'privileged' to be here.

Rita, who is 95, volunteered for Martlets for 14 years in various roles, up until the age of 85. She shares the moving story that inspired her to volunteer after her husband died.

Sue’s sister Margaret was a nurse on Martlets’ inpatient unit (IPU).  After becoming ill with terminal cancer, Margaret was cared for in her last days by Martlets on the IPU. Sue shares her story here. 

Karen and her parents were all diagnosed with terminal cancer within a four-month period. It was a devastating time for the family, but since then Martlets has supported Karen and helped her maintain her mobility and independence. 

Jinny’s close friend, Penny, was cared for on Martlets’ inpatient unit. Their friendship inspired Jinny, a graphic designer, to create her ‘Blue Tit Collection’ and she is generously donating at least £1,000 in sales to Martlets.

Debbie’s dad Michael and her husband Glenn were both cared for by Martlets towards the end of their lives. She wrote this blog about the ‘amazing’ care they received.
