Sussex Freemasons has presented Martlets with a Kia Picanto car to support our community team caring for local people in their own homes.
Imelda Glackin, the CEO of Martlets was delighted to collect the keys to the car on Friday 15 March. She said, “We are always incredibly grateful to Sussex Freemasons for the support that they give to us and this really is very generous. Most of our patients receive care in the comfort of their own homes, so it is essential that we have a reliable vehicle for our Community Team to use.
“The car will be indispensable to our nurses, doctors and rehabilitation team to take our hospice services out to the community and give support to local people and their families.”
At the presentation Michael Harris, Chairman of the Sussex Masonic Charities commented: “Sussex freemasons are proud to be able to directly support the work of our Sussex hospices and the amazing work that the Care at Home teams do in our local communities’
Christopher Moore, Provincial Grand Master of Sussex added: ‘The presentation of these cars to the hospices Care at Home teams is an outstanding example of Sussex freemasons working with Sussex organisations for the benefit of people in Sussex’
