Earlier this year, Cat’s dad was cared for by Martlets and spent his final days on our inpatient ward. Cat was supported by our bereavement counselling service, and Shaun the Sheep.
Sue’s sister Margaret was a nurse on Martlets’ inpatient unit (IPU). After becoming ill with terminal cancer, Margaret was cared for in her last days by Martlets on the IPU. Sue shares her story here.

Karen and her parents were all diagnosed with terminal cancer within a four-month period. It was a devastating time for the family, but since then Martlets has supported Karen and helped her maintain her mobility and independence.

Keeley’s mum was cared for by Martlets four years ago. He will be marrying fiancée Georgie this November and they will be supporting Martlets at their wedding in memory of his mum.
